China Cultural Exchange Adventure Trip - 2009

About 3 week July 23 - Aug 9th;  About 2 weeks: July 23 - Aug 2nd your choice!

We have a genuine sincerity for the younger generation through our training and discipline teachings, including character development. Cross Cultural Adventures, we are bringing an international summer camp to Eastern Asia that will join alongside Chinese young people and visit famous Chinese cities such as Beijing (The Great Wall, Summer Palace) Shanghai, Tianjin, Suzhou and Hong Zhou. United States participants will be given the opportunity to learn in Chinese schools and universities and possible take Chinese language and art classes. Since China's economy is growing faster than most countries now, learning Chinese language and culture might be a big plus for the your children's future career. This will be unforgettable trip in their life!  Cross Cultural Adventures International Summer Camp promotes strong social behavior development in a positive, caring, energetic and safe environment. Each camp attendant will be involved in activities with their peers and counselors, building both self-confidence and strengthening their teamwork skills. Those in leadership training will have the best of both worlds – traveling abroad and experiencing different cultures and the opportunity to be trained as a camp counselor/teacher for the Chinese children
and youth. They can spend part of their time with the young people, doing camp
activities that are custom designed for them and part of their time teamed up with
an experienced life coach, learning first hand, the joys and responsibilities helping
others. Since success in life, the quality of emotional intelligence and
personality is more important than IQ, come and be a part of what CCA is doing and contribute your summer to

introducing a true character curriculum that will help produce character in the next
generation! 

Dates: July 23rd - Aug 9th

Day 1 Depart from Los Angeles to Shanghai July 23rd
Depart from the west coast aboard a spacious jet for your trans-Pacific journey.

Day 2 Arrive in Shanghai July 24th
Upon arrival we will transfer to our hotel, where we will settle into our luxurious
accommodation and where some Chinese students will be joining us in our
cross cultural adventure in the morning for our activities in China.

Day 3  Shanghai--Suzhou B L July 25th
From Shanghai we'll head to the Suzhou after breakfast. We will visit the Liu
Garden and art museum and silk factory.

Day 4  Suzhou--Hangzhou B L D  July 26th
Suzhou has been called the "Venice of the East" because of its numerous canals
interlacing this ancient city. Your city tour will include visits to the Humble
Administrator's Garden and the Grand Canal. Then, we'll move on to Hangzhou via bus.

Day 5  Hangzhou--Shanghai B L D July 27th
With its cultural relics now restored and preserved, Hangzhou is renowned as one of the six famous ancient capitals of China. West Lake (Xihu) is an especially popular destination for its picturesque scenery. Before we head back to Shanghai, we could taste the Longjing Tea at Meiwu.
In the evening visit “Shanghai The Bund (Wai Tan)” The Bund is a symbol of Shanghai and an epitome of Shanghai's modern history.  From the Oriental Pearl TV Tower you can see the Bund.
The Bund is very famous, especially at night, the nocturne of that river is nice indeed!  When night falls, colorful lights illuminate the whole Bund area and turn it into a scene of the" wonderland.  Across the skyline of Puxi is China's tallest building - the 88-storey Jin Mao Tower - in Pudong New Area.

Day 6 Shanghai - Tianjin?  July 28th
After breakfast, we will visit “Oriental Pearl TV Tower” standing 468 meters high, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower is one of the highest towers in Asia. Tourists may climb the tower for panoramic views of the city. The ground floor features a shopping area, cafe, and an international city exhibit. It also offers deluxe conference rooms that have hosted leaders and VIPs from around the world. On clear days, the upper levels of this tower, measuring no less than 263 meters in height, offer spectacular views of the city.
Then we will take the Meglev train and experience the rush of over 220 mph! (This journey takes 7 minutes and 20 seconds to complete the distance of 18 miles. This train can reach 350 km/h (220 mph) in just two minutes, with a maximum normal operation speed of 431 km/h (268 mph).
After that we'll transfer to the airport for our return flight home to Beijing. 
While in Beijing we will visit Tian’AnMen Square in Beijing if we have time, then by bus to Tianjin in the evening.


Day 7 - 8 Tianjin July 29 - 30
The time in Tainjin, (3 nights) we will visit an Art university; an Art teacher will give our US students Art class....
We will visit some Universities in TJ....if you are also interested in studying or get a degree aboard, it's a good chance to go with us this time...we have detailed information about the Universities / Major you might interested in. Please contact us for more information regarding this.
One of the evenings we plan a "Culture Exchange" party....We will invite some Chinese and their family and kids to have a "Jiao Zi" (a traditional dumpling) contest party together with us.  As we share and fellowship with the students we will have the opportunity to teach them about true character. The team will be divided into 3 or more groups with some Chinese together to make "Jiao zi".  We will see which group did the best and the winning group will get prize. Then we will eat these "Jiao zi" that we made. After that, we can have some sharing/activities with them together.
Later we will visit the world famous Food Street and Culture Street. Then we will travel to the poorer parts of the city and sharing with some of the Chinese there. Along with this there is the possibility of attending, visiting and sharing with some youth in Tianjin.

Day 9 - 17 Beijing B L D July 31– Aug 8th
The time in Beijing: (9 nights) International summer camp: we will visit a private school and there are character training/culture exchange program between Chinese youth and US youth.... There is also Chinese language teacher to teach US students to speak and write Chinese and have Chinese history lecture.
Beijing was recently selected as the host city for the 2008 Summer Olympics. Tiananmen Square is a world famous landmark and holds distinction as being the world's largest public square. From here we will continue on to the Forbidden City as well as the emperor's summer palace. 
Snaking its way thousands of miles across Northern China, the Great Wall, which took several dynasties to complete, will be the subject of our admiration this day.

Day 18 (Aug 9th back to airport in the daytime)
Return Home Aug. 9th

Your Contributions cover the most expenses for the country of your choice, including meals, housing, flights to and from China via LAX, and in country transportation. On this trip this contribution amount includes EVERYTHING! (Regular meals, International air ticket, Hotel or Home Stay in BJ, Sightseeing entrances and class fees and a Life Coach 7 days a week/ 24 hours per day…)  Please book your flight to LAX in Los Angeles. There are special rates for children under 12. Please contact us if you wish to have a child accompanying you or your child is under 12.

For those who are 18 or over or accompanied by an adult may choose to return home before the camp and save $200.00 on the contribution cost.
